Website Developments
'Under Construction' If you haven't noticed already, this website is still currently being developed. Many of the pages are still under construction, we are working on each section of the site as quickly as possible. To see an overview of completed webpages, visit the site map which indicates functional pages. Below you can read about the current developments and what can be expected in the near future. Online Donation System We are very keen to get the donation system up and running soon. The donation system will allow visitors to the website to make online donations which will support the orphanage and the website. *In January, the website was still at a very early stage. The layout and design was visible but there was very little information on the website. *Some updates had been made including the children's photobook and the support page. Mission Finder Directory The website is now listed on the Mission Finder directory. Agape-CH.org Logo The official Agape Children's Home Logo has been created and added to the website. It can be seen at the bottom of the about agape page. Volunteer Opportunity This website has been set up by me (Martin) and unfortunately as it's my first website project, there are a few things I still don't know. Everything I know about making websites I have learnt through trial and error (including this website). This is making it difficult for me to implement some of the features that the site needs. I have created a short list of areas where I really need help. If you think you can help us in any way, please let me know by email.
Not Much Happened *Unfortunately I wasn't able to spend very much time on the website during march as I was spending all of my time studying and working. eBay! Agape-CH.org registered as an eBay seller and will soon be able to sell items online to generate funds for the website and the orphanage. This is an exciting development for the website as it could provide a vital source of funds to enable it to grow and provide the financial support to the orphanage that we have hoped would be possible. We already have some items ready to be sold (mostly clothes) and would be very grateful for any items you may wish to donate. Supporters Photobook A photobook was created and uploaded with the pictures and basic details of some of the supporters of the website and the orphanage. It can be found on the 'Our People' page. Blue Globe Logo I finaly recreated the blue globe logo used by the orphanage in a digital format. The logo is displayed at the top right of the web pages and differs slightly from the hand-drawn logo that I recieved from the orphanage. There is an element missing from the centre of the logo which shows two inverted grasped hands. Copyright & Disclaimer Notice The copyright and disclaimer notices are now available to view online by following the link at the bottom of any Agape-CH webpage. Minor Updates I have made a lot of minor updates to the website this month by updating the text content of web pages. I have also done some work on cleaning up the information and links on the website including making non-visual improvements. News & Developments Layout One of the bigger updates this month is this nice new layout that you are using. I have used collapsible panels and tabs to make it easier to display and find information. You can now quickly view the updates you want to see. This new layout also makes it easier for me to notify users of website updates and developments. For a guide on how to use this new layout please visit the help page. Minor Updates More content updates have been made to improve the information provided by the website. Information about the state of Manipur is now available in the 'about Agapq' section. Expectations

Going to India! We have organised our first trip to India to visit the Orphanage. Our flight out is in November and we are planning to be spending time in the Manipur region with the kids of the orphanage. This will give us a great opportunity to learn more about the orphanage as it is now and plans for its growth. Unfortunately Manipur is restricted to tourists which makes it difficult for people to enter the region. Hopefully when we get back we will be able to provide some information that could make the process easier for others planning to travel to the region. eBay!
